As a teenager growing up in suburban New Jersey I had been marginally aware of the San Francisco poster artists but when this book, "The Great Poster Trip" hit our high school library bookshelves in 1968, I was in for a true revelation! Never had I seen so many of these posters collected before and what was also fantastic is that there were photos of the artists at the end of the book so I could also connect a face with the artwork for the first time. This was the first book to document this art and remains a classic today. Required reading on every artists bookshelf.
